“Paradise Regained (In the Barren Kingdom)” is based on John Milton’s poem *Paradise Regained*, the sequel to *Paradise Lost*. Where *Paradise Lost* tells the story of rebellion, temptation, and mankind’s fall, *Paradise Regained* carries the story forward through Christ’s victory over temptation. This is Part 2 of a two-song series. Paradise is lost through Adam, but God’s answer comes through Christ, who resists the tempter and points toward the restoration of what was ruined.
